The students who write some of the most inspiring essays for Aarhus Symposium Challenge 2016 are invited to participate in two out of three exclusive events hosted by three of our Premium Partners.
The selected students will have the opportunity to attend “Power Up with Arla” and either “A Day at DONG Energy” or “A Day at Jyske Bank”. At these special partner events, the participating students will gain interesting insights into the business world and engage in real-life business cases.

We are excited to announce the three top speakers participating in Aarhus Symposium Focus 2016.
Allan Lyngsø Madsen, Chief Economist at the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions, LO, has spent his career providing economic counselling to policy-makers. Before being appointed Chief Economist at LO, Allan Lyngsø Madsen held various positions at the Danish Metalworkers’ Union, Dansk Metal.
Troels Bjerg, Regional CEO Northern Europe at ISS A/S, is part of global management at ISS, which is one of the world’s largest facility service companies. Among other positions, Troels Bjerg is a member of the Board of Directors at Ejner Hessel Holding A/S as well as a member of the Central Board at the Confederation of Danish Industry, DI.
Torben Tranæs, Executive Director of Research at the Danish National Centre for Social Research, SFI, is a very well-respected voice in economic debates in Denmark and internationally as a result of his excellent research and numerous publications. Torben Tranæs’ areas of research include labour market relations, migration, and integration as well as welfare and income distribution in Denmark.
With backgrounds in organisations representing workers, employers, and the public sector respectively, the three speakers will bring different views to the table when discussing this year’s theme: “Demographic changes – How will we work, age, and live?”

Bjarke Ingels also has the honour of designing projects such as the two World Trade Center towers, and despite his young age, he has created notable footprints all around the world with his incredible buildings.
At Aarhus Symposium 2016, Bjarke Ingels will share his experience from a business where personality and ingenuity are vital.
We are thrilled to announce Lars Fjeldsøe-Nielsen, General Partner, Balderton Capital, as a speaker at Aarhus Symposium 2016.
Lars Fjeldsøe-Nielsen has been characterised as ‘the godfather of mobile business development’ and is at the forefront of the digital development, as he identifies and invests in the best European technology companies.
Lars Fjeldsøe-Nielsen has spearheaded the mobile growth strategies for Uber and Dropbox and has been an advisor to Whatsapp. Through these efforts, he has managed to predict future digital demands, and he has been able to spread significant technologies to the mass market.
At Aarhus Symposium 2016, Lars Fjeldsøe-Nielsen will address what Nordic tech will look like in another ten years and share his insights on the booming scene of technology.
