27 May Christian Stadil – Speaker at Aarhus Symposium 2015

We are thrilled to announce Christian Stadil, CEO at Thornico, as speaker at Aarhus Symposium 2015 and one of the leaders participating in Aarhus Symposium Challenge.

With the exceptional broadness of his character, Christian Stadil represents modern leadership, spiritual preoccupation, and unique strategic thinking. Ever since the successful turnaround of Hummel in the late 90’s, Christian Stadil has been a central driving force in establishing the extensive universe surrounding the mother-company, Thornico, including an ambitious CSR-strategy and the mantra of Company Karma. With his colourful perspectives, he has now furthermore been appointed adjunct professor in creative leadership at Copenhagen Business School.

At Aarhus Symposium 2015, Christian Stadil will share his thoughts on the challenges faced by leaders of today and the creativity needed to succeed in the ever-changing world of technology.

In September, Christian Stadil will put forward a challenge within the theme of “Leadership and Technology”. By taking up the challenge, students have the opportunity to qualify for an exclusive session with him in Leaders’ Forum.

The theme of Aarhus Symposium 2015 is “Leadership and Technology” .

Advancements in technology have boosted several industries and societies by the evolution of newer and faster modes of transportation, interaction, and information processing. However, the advancements also put great pressure on organisations in terms of incorporating the flexibility that technology requires of them. Therefore, the evolution of technology comes with amazing opportunities as well as fierce challenges for leaders of today and will change the way leaders act in the years to come.

We are looking very much forward to discovering the different perspectives from leaders of today and leaders of tomorrow on this inspiring theme.

06 Apr Gear up your career with Neas Energy graduate programmes

Neas Energy is currently looking for graduates within Economics, Finance, and Mathematics for two different graduate programmes: Neas Graduate Program and the new Trading Graduate Program.

Neas Graduate Program
During this programme, you will work in three different departments to gain insights into a variety of functions and build a solid knowledge of Neas Energy and the European energy sector. You will gain valuable knowledge about finance, trading, asset management, and business development within power, natural gas, and related energy commodities.

Trading Graduate Program
As part of the Trading Graduate Program, you will work in three subdivisions of Neas Energy’s power trading department and gain specialist expertise on European power trading. You will experience how to work as a trader with days filled with analysis and quick decisions.

16 Mar New members in the Executive Board of Aarhus Symposium

Last Friday, the Executive Board of Aarhus Symposium welcomed two new members; Ditlev Engel, Chairman of, among others, the green think tank Big Future 2025, SE Blue Renewables, and the Danish Green Investment Fund; and Philipp Schröder, Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics and Business at Aarhus University, Aarhus BSS.

Meanwhile, we say goodbye to Flemming Lindeløv, former CEO of Carlsberg A/S, and Carsten Tanggaard, Professor in Finance at the Department of Economics and Business at Aarhus University, who retire from the Executive Board after three years of operation. We highly appreciate their work and commitment to Aarhus Symposium, Aarhus BSS.

In order to ensure the future of Aarhus Symposium with continuous exchange of experiences and development, the Executive Board is comprised of individuals with extensive knowledge of the organisation’s objectives and activities.

Jyske Bank TV took part in Aarhus Symposium 2014 on November 7 and captured some of the inspiring moments from the symposium on tape.

Jyske Bank TV has been awarded with different prizes, including “Best Brand Newsroom” at the international social media award show “Digidays” in New York, and on a more general note, Jyske Bank TV has earned high recognition for their unconventional branding concept.

After his inspiring essay contribution to Aarhus Symposium Challenge 2014, and a personal debate with General Peter Bartram, Danish Chief of Defence, in Leaders’ Forum, Moma Vujisic was honoured with this year’s Aarhus Symposium Award on stage.
