29 Jun The theme of Aarhus Symposium Focus 2017

The theme of Aarhus Symposium Focus 2017 is “Globalisation in Reverse – the Danish Response”.

How can Denmark prosper as a small open economy in a closing world? The foundation of global trade is changing. After decades of increasing economic integration, Western societies are experiencing a backlash against globalisation. As countries work toward national rather than global agendas, the international society is in danger of facing change in its most treacherous form; when progress is suddenly eroded or even destroyed. This leaves Danish policymakers and corporate leaders with a pressing question: Would Denmark be able to withstand such changes?

On October 30, 2017, a panel of four competent speakers with diverse backgrounds will share their perspective and we encourage you to join the debate. The speakers will be announced this September.

02 May the theme of aarhus symposium 2017 is “LEADING THROUGH CHANGE”

The theme of Aarhus Symposium 2017 is: “LEADING THROUGH CHANGE”.

The world of tomorrow will always be different from the one we know today. Change encompasses nearly every aspect of life, keeping the world in a constant state of fluctuation. On one hand, leaders hold the power to facilitate change; on the other hand, they are faced with trends that exceed them and which can invade entire industries or even nations. At Aarhus Symposium 2017, we seek to explore the interplay between following the trends of today and setting the agenda of tomorrow.

Luke was also rewarded with an exclusive spot in Leaders’ Forum with Jimmy Maymann, President at AOL Content & Consumer Brands, who proposed the challenge. We met with Luke right after Leaders’ Forum to hear about his experience. Here, he talked excitedly about how the exchange of ideas might have gone both ways:

“I would like to think we provided some ideas and suggestions that he [Jimmy Maymann, red.] will take into consideration in the future.”
