Lars Jannick Johansen has dedicated his career to creating new opportunities for the socially disadvantaged through finance. In 2011, he initiated The Social Capital Fund (Den Sociale Kapitalfond) with a vision of using investments to combine social impact and financial returns. Since then, he has brought together people and investors such as The European Investment Fund, The Danish Growth Fund, and The Novo Nordisk Foundation to pioneer impact investments in Denmark. Today, Lars Jannick Johansen is a member of its board and serves as managing partner of its private equity impact fund, Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest.

The Social Capital Fund (Den Sociale Kapitalfond) is a Scandinavian impact investment organisation for businesses improving opportunities for marginalised groups in society. Since 2011, it has helped create 777 jobs and training positions combined with double digit annual growth rates in more than 50 companies. Den Sociale Kapitalfond was established in 2011 by Lars Jannick Johansen and TrygFonden with professional support from Accura and EY.
