THE SPEAKERS OF AARHUS SYMPOSIUM FOCUS 2016

We are excited to announce the three top speakers participating in Aarhus Symposium Focus 2016.

Allan Lyngsø Madsen, Chief Economist at the Danish Confederation of Trade Unions, LO, has spent his career providing economic counselling to policy-makers. Before being appointed Chief Economist at LO, Allan Lyngsø Madsen held various positions at the Danish Metalworkers’ Union, Dansk Metal.

Troels Bjerg, Regional CEO Northern Europe at ISS A/S, is part of global management at ISS, which is one of the world’s largest facility service companies. Among other positions, Troels Bjerg is a member of the Board of Directors at Ejner Hessel Holding A/S as well as a member of the Central Board at the Confederation of Danish Industry, DI.

Torben Tranæs, Executive Director of Research at the Danish National Centre for Social Research, SFI, is a very well-respected voice in economic debates in Denmark and internationally as a result of his excellent research and numerous publications. Torben Tranæs’ areas of research include labour market relations, migration, and integration as well as welfare and income distribution in Denmark.

With backgrounds in organisations representing workers, employers, and the public sector respectively, the three speakers will bring different views to the table when discussing this year’s theme: “Demographic changes – How will we work, age, and live?”
