THE ROLE OF OWNERSHIP STRUCTURES
Aarhus Symposium 2011 explored growth in a distressed economy by examining critical factors such as ownership structures and how companies can ensure long-term growth in distressed economic situations while at the same time remaining competitive in a global economy. The world is demanding growth, globalization, and innovation. To explore this theme, we invited top executives from companies to discuss and debate the various challenges Danish companies with different ownership structures face.
Some of the challenges that were discussed were how strategy, organisational structure, and management are influenced by the ownership structure of the company. How ownership structures can influence a company’s growth opportunities, potential for innovation, and its contribution to society. Also explored, was capital market requirements and attitudes towards enterprise and ownership structures.
